Virtual Reality Tours of Korea - Tongyeong
The highly-experienced and multinational team here at VisitKorea.com have been working hard over the summer to put together a virtual reality tour of a gem in the crown of Korean culture. Tongyeong is a city located in the south of South Korea and is home to a number of important cultural, historical and culinary features.
For this reason it seemed like the perfect place for us to recreate in virtual reality for people to visit anytime they like from around the world.
How to access Visit Korea tours?
Don't worry if you don't have a VR headset like an Oculus Quest, HTC Vive or Pico device. You can also access our tours via a desktop computer, laptop or smartphone device.
All you need to do on your chosen device is download the ENGAGE platform here https://engagevr.io/ and send us a message via this book a VR tour page to register your interest to attend the tour.
We will then get in touch with you to inform you of upcoming tour dates.
How the Tour Works
Once you join the tour at the specified time on your chosen device, you will be met by your English and Korean speaking guides of the Visit Korea team. You will be shown the basic controls of how to operate your virtual avatar in the virtual spaces and then you will be guided around the scenes that we have created, learning about the culture, traditions and stories of this historic location.
The magical part however comes in being able to experience this tour in ways that would not be possible in real life. You will have the opportunity to perform a fun activity with your fellow tour attendees, giving you the chance to go deeper into learning about Korean culture, and winners will be given a unique prize to remember the day!
As a show of gratitude to all those attend, a small souvenir will also be provided at the end of the tour.
